GTA 6 launches November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Here's the complete pre-order guide: both editions, prices, bonuses, pre-load dates, and what physical buyers need to know.
When Is GTA 6 Coming Out?

Thursday, November 19, 2026. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. That's the date Rockstar set on November 6, 2025, and it hasn't budged since. Take-Two Interactive reaffirmed it in their August 7, 2026 earnings release, and Rockstar North's Rob Nelson told Famitsu in late August 2026 that "it will definitely be released."
For clarity: the November 19, 2026 date and the PS5 + Xbox Series X|S platforms are confirmed. The PC version is unconfirmed — based on Rockstar's history you'd expect late 2027 to 2028, but nothing has been announced.
GTA 6 Delay History
It's been a long road. Two official delays:
- Fall 2025 — the original window, announced alongside Trailer 1 back in December 2023
- May 26, 2026 — the first delay, announced in May 2025 (Trailer 2 dropped that same week)
- November 19, 2026 — the second and final delay, announced in November 2025, citing polish. Take-Two's stock dropped up to 18% on the news
Here's where things stand now. Since September 1, 2026, there hasn't been a single credible delay report. The "delayed again" claims floating around online are parody or opinion posts, not reporting. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick says he feels "very good" about the timeline — and honestly, at this point the date feels locked.
Short version:
- PlayStation 5 — confirmed
- Xbox Series X|S — confirmed
- PC — not announced. Rockstar has never committed to a PC version. Going by their history (GTA 5 took about 18–19 months; RDR2 about 13), late 2027 to early 2028 is a reasonable estimate — but that's arithmetic, not a roadmap. Rumors of Xbox PC streaming at launch are unconfirmed.
| Edition | Price | Availability |
|---------|-------|--------------|
| Standard Edition | $79.99 | Physical + Digital |
| Ultimate Edition | $99.99 | Digital only |
GTA 6 Editions & Prices

Two editions. No more, no less.
Standard Edition — $79.99
The full GTA 6 game, available physical (code-in-a-box) and digital — and it includes the pre-order bonus pack if you buy before the cutoff (details below).
Ultimate Edition — $99.99 (digital only)
Everything in Standard, plus a genuinely stacked bonus list:
- Premium story vehicles: '95 Grotti Cheetah, Shitzu Squalo, '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy, and the Vapid Ganado modkit
- Personalized weapons: Hawk & Little Morgan Revolvers
- Exclusive apparel and tattoos
- Ultimate-only shops: Rideout Customs, Sara's Unisex Salon, Stock 305, Electric Fang Tattoo
- A Special Commission to restore classic cars
And here's a telling stat — per pcguide data, roughly 9 in 10 pre-orders are for the Ultimate Edition. Make of that what you will.
What's NOT Available
No Special Edition or Collector's game edition exists — those were never a thing. Separately, Rockstar sells "The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection," a $399.99 merchandise box with 11 items including a double-sided poster. It ships November 19, it's a Rockstar Store exclusive, it's one per person — and it does not include the game.
One more thing: remember the 2025 analyst predictions of a $100 base price (Michael Pachter, among others)? They were wrong.

GTA 6 Pre-Order Guide
When Did Pre-Orders Open?
June 25, 2026 — across the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Rockstar Store, and major US retailers (Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Target).
Pre-Order Bonus: Vintage Vice City Pack
Anyone who buys before November 20, 2026 — launch-day buyers qualify — gets the Vintage Vice City Pack. That's the '55 Vapid Stanier vintage sedan, an Ocean Beach garage, vintage outfits and hairstyles for Jason and Lucia, and weapon patterns inspired by Tommy Vercetti's Hawaiian shirt. Digital pre-orders also get a month of GTA+ free.
Pre-Load & Launch Logistics
The practical stuff, because launch week is always chaos:
- Pre-load opens November 12, 2026 — a full week before launch
- Launch unlock is midnight local time, rolling worldwide (starting with New Zealand around 11:00 UTC on Nov 18)
- Physical copies contain a download code, not a disc — so physical buyers pre-load once their code arrives
- No early access via pre-order; all editions launch simultaneously on Nov 19
Should You Pre-Order?
Here's the thing. With both Rockstar and Take-Two reaffirming the date as recently as August 2026, and zero credible delay signals anywhere, pre-ordering is low-risk. And the Vintage Vice City Pack is free with any pre-launch purchase — so there's genuinely no downside to ordering before Nov 20.
GTA 6 Accessories
Sony unveiled GTA 6 limited-edition DualSense controllers — black and white — at State of Play on September 3, 2026. They're $84.99 each, pre-orders opened September 10, 2026, and they launch alongside the game on Nov 19. The black one is a PlayStation Direct exclusive, and limited quantities sold out quickly at several retailers. If you're on the fence about the white one, don't sleep on it.
