Everyone's busy arguing about which supercar tops the speed charts in GTA 6. Meanwhile, Rockstar quietly made Leonida a state where you spend as much time on the water and in the air as on the road. Vice City is surrounded by ocean. Meanwhile, the Grassrivers wetlands cover the whole northwest. Down south, the Leonida Keys dangle off the southern tip like bait. If you can't fly or sail in this game, you're missing half the map.
Here's everything spotted across [both trailers](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKUW7_I4QwA, the August 2026 Extended Look, and the key art — organized by where you'll actually use them.
| Type | Examples | Best For |
|------|----------|----------|
| Airboats | Swamp boats | Everglades, shallow water |
| Speedboats | Various | Coastal travel, escapes |
| Yachts | Luxury vessels | Open water |
| Planes | Small aircraft | Long-distance travel |
| Helicopters | Various | Quick transport, missions |

The humble airboat might be the most important vehicle in GTA 6. Trailer footage shows Airgator fan boats carving through the Grassrivers marshes — flat-bottomed, deafening, and the only sane way to cross swamp that chews up trucks. Gator hunting is confirmed as an activity, so expect airboats to be your work vehicle out in the wetlands.
Then there's Jason's own boat. You'll spot the Lurepredator L35P fishing boat in the Extended Look, and community spotters have tied it to Jason's daily life — it fits the guy who lives at a boatyard and does fishing trips with his friend Cal Hampton. If the Lurepredator is buyable, that's your early-game workhorse: fishing income on one side, smuggling cover on the other. (Speculation: we don't know which boats are purchasable yet, but Jason's tied to this one for a reason.)
Rockstar has actually named very few vehicles — only seven so far, per frame-by-frame community breakdowns — and two of them are boats. For coastal missions, the Shitzu Squalo speedboat ships with the Ultimate Edition ($99.99 tier) for coastal missions, and the Crest Kayak is confirmed by name too. Kayaks. In Grand Theft Auto. Someone at Rockstar North wants you to paddle.
At the deep end of the marina, you'll find serious money: an Azimut Atlantis 45 yacht-style cruiser, Riva 86 Domino and Rivamare models, Sunseeker 80, and even a cruise ship spotted in trailer backgrounds. Jet skis (Speedophile Seashark) and a Sea-Doo RXT-X 300 cover the personal watercraft crowd. Rockstar also teased port heists with the BTN Delmar cargo ship.
Aircraft: planes and helicopters

The skies over Leonida are busy. Trailer spotters confirmed the Buckingham Shamal executive jet, the Buckingham Luxor, and the JoBuilt Mammatus — a light prop plane that looks perfect for regional airport runs. Unlike regular planes, the Mammoth Dodo seaplane can land on coastal water, which, in a state shaped like Florida, is basically a cheat code. And the Western Company Duster crop duster is the wild card: a vintage biplane that screams "Brian Heder's old smuggling days." Remember that quote: "I hauled so much grass in that plane, I could make the state of Leonida levitate."
Helicopters? Look closely at the official cover art and you'll find the Sea Sparrow — amphibious, with water landing pontoons, ideal for the Keys. The Nagasaki Buzzard attack chopper returns with its twin miniguns for anyone with bad intentions and a five-star problem. The Buckingham Swift covers luxury travel, the Buckingham Maverick and Police Maverick handle civilian and law-enforcement duty, and the Buckingham SuperVolito Carbon shows up in trailer flyovers.
One honest warning: speedrunner compilations from the Extended Look clocked the Pegassi Tempesta topping 198 mph on an airport runway. That was a supercar on tarmac. How aircraft handling feels — especially the Duster's low-and-slow crop runs — is pure speculation until November 19.
The ground game still matters
For completeness: Jason's daily driver is the Vapid Ganado, a two-door coupe-ute styled like a classic Ford Ranchero — very "Keys local." His bike is the new Principe Alvino V1 superbike, seen doing wheelies in the Extended Look. Brian Heder rolls in a Vapid Caracara 4x4 (Ford Raptor energy, whip antenna and all). Community analysts have confirmed names for 142 vehicles previously known only by silhouette, with the Bravado Banshee, Pegassi Zorrusso, Furia, and Tempesta among returning exotics.

The takeaway
GTA 6's vehicle list is a geography lesson. Airboats for the swamp. Seaplanes for the Keys. Executive jets for the Vice City skyline. Rockstar built a state with ocean, marsh, and open sky, then gave you a vehicle for every square mile of it. When preload opens November 12, the first thing I'm doing isn't stealing a supercar. It's finding a boat.
